Products from the IST METZ Group allow you to coat, bond or metallise plastics.
Solvent-based, solvent-free or water-based UV varnishes are used for coating purposes. UV systems allow special effects to be achieved such as an eye-catching high-gloss finish. Both conventional UV systems and LED UV units are suitable for curing cationic, radical or dual-cure adhesives. From spot bonding to large-area adhesion, these systems can be used for a wide variety of applications.
PVD (physical vapour deposition) allows plastic to be metallised in a vacuum chamber. UV systems may also be used during this process to cure a UV primer or a UV top coat.
For the converting sector we offer UV systems for UV siliconisation, cross-linking of Hotmelt acrylates and for varnishing PVC flooring and decorative foils. For varnishing PVC flooring (working widths up to five metres) and decorative foils there are UV systems with possible adjustment of the gloss level when using 100% UV coating systems. For the curing of UV silicones and varnishes there are also inert solutions available.
