LED UV systems enable fast and precise curing of suitable UV-reactive inks, coatings and adhesives. With no warm-up phase required, the LED UV system can be switched on and off as needed to match the production process.
LED UV technology contains no mercury, and no process-related ozone is generated at the LED wavelengths used. Compared with conventional UV lamp systems, the lower proportion of infrared radiation can also reduce the thermal load on the substrate – an important factor when processing temperature-sensitive materials.
IST METZ offers LED UV systems for a wide range of printing and industrial applications. Their compact, modular design facilitates integration into both new and existing production equipment.
Since March 2023 the British company Integration Technology Ltd. has been operating under the new name IST INTECH, thus underlining its affiliation with the southern German METZ group of companies. IST INTECH and IST METZ are jointly developing LED UV systems for a range of applications and process requirements.
