At the European Coatings Show, which will take place in Nuremberg from 19 to 21 March, UV system manufacturer IST Metz will be presenting a wide range of products for curing coatings using UV light at Stand 122 in Hall 5.
At the IST Metz GmbH booth, visitors will learn everything about excimer technology, which is used in many industrial sectors and applications for matting, disinfection, cleaning and modification of surfaces. An excimer lamp is a source of ultraviolet light with an extremely high-energy emission at a wavelength of 172nm. The result of curing with excimer lamps is extremely hard and matt surfaces that offer high scratch and abrasion resistance.
HANDcure – mobility meets high performance
The latest development in the field of LED UV technology, which will be presented at ECS, is the mobile handheld device HANDcure for point and area curing. The HANDcure is typically used in the fields of cross-linking and detection. The device has a spectral range from 365nm to 415nm and weighs 1,0kg in the basic version. This ensures fatigue-free work in a wide range of applications.
LED product range for industrial applications
The air-cooled LEDcure MZ is a cost-effective and powerful LED system for industrial intermediate and final curing. Thanks to the XT8 booster technology, the LEDcure MZ has up to 30% more power than conventional LED systems. Due to the higher curing speeds, the LED systems can cover a wide range of customer applications.
UV system MBS L for industrial applications
Industrial production requires reliable and cost-conscious technologies. The MBS L is a powewrful air-cooled UV unit with a lamp length of 550 to 1,600mm and a maximum lamp output of 200W/cm. The components in the unit, such as the lamp, reflector and pneumatic cylinder, are easily accessible. Lamp replacement is possible without removing parts.
