The performance of a UV system depends crucially on optical components such as UV lamps and reflectors. As a specialist in UV technology, IST METZ has been developing and manufacturing these key components in-house for many years. This ensures that our products meet the highest quality standards and deliver reliable results over the long term.
Our UV lamps are manufactured with precision craftsmanship and undergo comprehensive quality controls. This combination of technical expertise and strict testing procedures guarantees the high standard that our customers expect. That is why we offer particularly attractive warranty conditions for our UV lamps and reflectors.
UV lamps must not be disposed of in household waste, but must be recycled. Together with our subsidiary eta plus, we take care of the safe return and professional recycling of UV lamps – including third-party lamps. In this way, we actively contribute to environmental protection and offer our customers a complete service from a single source.
In the case of IST UV lamps the high technical standard of the products is achieved by craftsmanship in connection with extensive quality controls. Therefore IST Metz is able to offer outstanding warranties on these product.
General conditions for all IST UV lamps: The warranty period is a maximum of 24 months from the date of delivery for a maximum of 4 on/off cycles per 8-hour day.
In the case of IST URS reflectors we succeeded in bringing the maximum yield of UV light - which is important for the process - to the substrate, regardless of the required reflector geometry while undesired heat is reliably discharged. This provides a maximum UV output, achieved with very high service life of the reflectors. This allows a saving of valuable energy, while increasing the efficiency of the production process. The layer systems of reflectors are optimally matched to the overall product.
Note: Colour differences of juxtaposed reflector pieces arise from production-related fluctuating process para-meters. Therefore deviations of a few nanometers are possible in the visible range only, which is not relevant for the production process. This effect manifests itself in slightly different shades of blue of the reflector rods and does not constitute a reason for complaint.
Mercury vapour lamps must not be disposed of in bulky or residual waste, as mercury can be released into the environment during incineration or landfill. Instead, they should be handed over to specialised recycling facilities that safely collect and recycle the mercury. As 99.8 % of mercury can be recycled, the actual consumption is minimal, provided the lamps are disposed of properly. Used UV lamps can be returned to IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG for disposal.
Excimer lamps from eta plus do not contain any hazardous substances, in particular no mercury, and can therefore be disposed of with household waste. Nevertheless, eta plus asks you to return used lamps for analysis and product improvement.
We also offer the disposal of third-party lamps for a fee. For enquiries, please send an e-mail to parts@ist-uv.com
